Accelerated Aging

Depending on the application, testing on natural stone and related materials requires the evaluation of behaviour after aging. The most common methodologies are freeze-thaw, thermal shock, salt fog or even the use of SOx for simulate pollution impact.
However, depending on the application and development stage of a product, it is possible to define other methodologies, adequate to optimise certain characteristics related to product design.
The majority of these tests are part of the CE marking requirements employed on natural and agglomerated stone products.
